...Mom Hacks and Tips: Embracing the Laughs & Oops of Busy Moms

Been doing the 'mom thing' long enough to have a teen son and still no User Manual in sight! Each day is a new episode in the sitcom of my life. But hey, I've picked up some hilarious life hacks and nuggets of wisdom along the way. Hope you'll take comfort in knowing you're not the only one feeling utterly 'momwhelmed'!
So, from one mom-in-the-fast lane to another, here are some humorous 'roadside revelations' I’ve picked up amid the potholes and pitstops.
It IS possible to mess up mac-and-cheese from a box, pancakes and grilled cheese sandwiches.
When dinner is a mess, serve it with flair…add a made up name for the dish and use an over-the-top accent and even your teen will smile and eat it.
Smoothie residue dried on glasses makes me cry to the point that I decided it was better to buy disposable cups. I love the earth, but the earth doesn’t wash my dishes. (I recycle, so I am hoping it all somehow works out.)
My sanity has been saved by not having to figure out and cook dinner at the end of an exhausting day and that truly is worth more than the cost of a rotisserie chicken.
Simple things like a Clean/Dirty magnet for your dishwasher and making a game of 'who can pick up the most dirty socks the fastest' goes a long way towards harmony in the home.
One of the best ideas ever created is online ordering and curbside pickup.
Black kitchen appliances and a white hair dog do NOT mix well.
The best pet sitters are the ones who not only are fabulous with animals, but also do not judge what your house looks like.
I can live with the fact that the local pizza delivery drivers and Target Drive-up employees know who I am without having to give my name.
Nobody knows if I am working in my pajamas, if I don’t tell them.
Figure out what works for your family and makes you happy… and then forget about what anyone else thinks.
Pajama Sundays, campouts in the living room, Lego days, parties for any reason and stay-in-bed-and-read days create some of the best moments.

I totally agree with you! Making dinner such a chore!
